In the pursuit of happiness closed doors are unavoidable. Although the idea of a closed door has become a symbolism
of defeat to many, what’s often overlooked is that “to every closed door
belongs a key.”
The power of perspective and attitude makes a tremendous difference.
Finding the right key to the right door might be more important. For
example I personally own the keys to my home and car, however my keys won’t
work on anyone else’s home or car.
There are many examples where people entrust their keys in the hands of
others, whether it’s an employer trusting an employee, a parent trusting their
child, or a friend trusting a friend.
Kicking down doors and forcing your way in might not be the best
attitude to encourage. Perhaps building relationships and earning the trust of
others just might be a better approach. We don’t have to walk away from closed doors;
instead we earn the trust of the key holders.
If that’s not your preference, you can always build you own doors.
